About the artist.

Born and raised in Tasmania, Australia, Adoni Astrinakis fell serendipitously into a professional career in fine art. His self-taught practice soon escalated into a full-time pursuit as he began to receive increasing interest and acclaim.

Adoni has been named as a finalist in The Shirley Hannan National Portrait Award and twice in The Lester Prize for Portraiture. He has exhibited in national galleries around Australia, and internationally in The Hamptons, New York. His work has been showcased in print, online and television media, both locally and internationally.

Adoni’s artwork featured prominently on hit TV shows THE BLOCK, and THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF MELBOURNE, and he has painted publicly in live event settings such as the CAULFIELD CUP main marquee for Moët & Chandon.

Adoni has collaborated with renowned New Yorker Susan Blond, whose client list boasts Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Prince, Britney Spears, Usher and many more. Susan was a personal friend and muse to the iconic Andy Warhol.

Working in large-scale realist expressionism, Adoni commonly uses a freehand approach to his practice.
